What this site is

This website is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, or any U.S. government agency. USCIS is the official source for naturalization test information. Always verify current requirements at USCIS.gov.

This tool is for educational practice only and does not provide legal or immigration advice. Passing practice quizzes here does not guarantee passing the official naturalization interview or civics test.

  • This is a place to practice for the civics part of the U.S. naturalization test. It is for learning only.
  • We are not a law firm, and we don’t give legal advice. We can’t tell you if you qualify for citizenship, which forms to file, or what will happen in your case. For advice about your case, talk to an attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative.
  • We make no promise about your result. How you do here does not decide how you do at your interview.
  • We are independent. We are not part of USCIS or any government agency.

About the content

The questions and answers come from USCIS lists. The explanations and memory tips are ours. We check the content against uscis.gov and show the date we checked, but mistakes can happen, and rules and officeholders change. USCIS is the official source. Always check uscis.gov before your interview.

Our practice grading is automatic. It may be stricter or more lenient than a real officer.

If you find a mistake, please tell us. You can use “Report a grading problem” after an answer, or email us.

Accounts

  • You must be 13 or older to make an account.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
  • We may close an account that breaks these terms.

Using the site fairly

  • Don’t try to break, overload, or get around the security of the site.
  • Don’t use the site to mislead people, for example by presenting it as a government service or charging people for it as if it were.
  • Don’t use automated tools to copy the site in bulk.

No warranty

We provide the site “as is.” We work to keep it correct and available, but we can’t promise that it will always be correct, complete, or online. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it.
