Contact us

Email us at ljorjoliani@icloud.com. We read every message.

It helps if you tell us:

  • if you use the iPhone app or the website,
  • your device, for example an iPhone or a Windows computer,
  • what you tried to do, and what happened.

Please don’t send your A-Number, receipt number, or immigration documents. We are an independent study tool, not USCIS. We can’t answer questions about your immigration case.

About the app

Is this an official USCIS app?

No. The Daily Civics is a study tool to practice for the civics test. We are independent. We are not part of USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, or any U.S. government agency.

USCIS is the official source. Always check uscis.gov before your interview.

Which test should I study: 2025 or 2008?

It depends on the day USCIS received your Form N-400. Your interview date does not matter.

To change your test:

  • On the website: Settings then Your test.
  • In the iPhone app: Settings then Your test.

Your progress on each test is kept, so you can switch back. Not sure which test is yours? Read Which test will you take?

Answering questions

Do I have to speak my answers?

No. You read each question on the screen. Then you type your answer, or pick it from a list. Voice is off unless you turn it on.

In the iPhone app, you can turn on voice in Settings then Voice (optional):

  • Read questions aloud reads each question out loud.
  • Answer by speaking lets you say your answer, on iPhones that support it. The app checks your answer on your iPhone. Your voice is never recorded, saved, or sent.

The website has no voice features. Your device’s screen reader works on every page.

I think an answer is wrong

Please tell us. On the website, choose “Report a grading problem” after an answer. Each question page also has a link to email us. You can always email us at the address above.

Accounts

Do I need an account?

No. An account is optional and free. You can practice without one. Without an account, your progress stays on your device: in your browser on the website, or on your iPhone in the app.

Does my progress sync between the iPhone app and the website?

Yes, when you sign in with the same account in both places. Your progress, saved questions, and test settings are saved in your account. Then you can keep practicing in the iPhone app or on civics-quiz.com. A few things, like reminders and sounds, stay on your iPhone only.

  • On the website: choose Log in or Sign up at the top of the page.
  • In the iPhone app: Settings then Account then Sign in or create account.

How do I delete my account?

  • On the website: log in, then go to Settings then Account then Delete account.
  • In the iPhone app: Settings then Account then Delete account.

This deletes your account and your progress right away. You can’t undo it. Copies in our provider’s backups are removed when those backups expire. You can download your data first. Deleting the iPhone app does not delete your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel or refund a purchase. Purchases stay with your Apple Account.

Interview Coach and purchases

What is Interview Coach?

Interview Coach is the optional Pro part of the iPhone app. It adds unlimited mock interviews, Listen mode for hands-free practice, and mock trends that show the questions you miss most.

It is a one-time purchase in the iPhone app. It is not a subscription. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card. If you turn on 65/20 special consideration in the app, Interview Coach is free.

Without it, you can still study every question and take one full mock interview every day in the app. The website is free.

How do I restore my purchase?

Did you buy Interview Coach before, for example on another iPhone or before you deleted the app? Open the iPhone app, then go to Settings then Interview Coach then Restore Purchases.

Use the same Apple Account that you used to buy it. Your purchase belongs to your Apple Account, not to your Daily Civics account.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments in the iPhone app, so refunds go through Apple. We can’t give refunds ourselves. To ask Apple for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose the purchase.

Privacy

We keep as little data as we can. No ads, and we never sell your data. Our privacy page explains what the website and the iPhone app store, and why. The iPhone app part is about the app.
